Poston looking forward to the AAU circuit

Despite the fact that Jelani Poston had to sit out his junior campaign because of transfer rules, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound small forward from Chicago, Ill., still enjoyed Simeon High Schools State Championship run. However, there is no doubt that Poston is looking forward to getting back out onto the court. He will get the opportunity to do just that this spring and summer, as he will be traveling with the Mean Street Express.
"The season was real good," said Poston. "I didn't get to play because I transferred from other school, but it was great to be apart of a team that won a State Championship. Now that the season is over, I am excited about playing basketball again this summer."

Aside from getting back on the hardwood, Poston, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound small forward is also looking forward to spending more time thinking about his recruitment.
While he was not able to play this year, quite a few schools stopped by to watch him practice throughout the year.
"Illinois, Georgia Tech, Bradley, Southern Illinois, Illinois State, Ball State, Indiana and Florida are some of the schools that I have heard from," said Poston. "I plan to take some unofficial visits this summer, but I am not for sure about what schools I am going to visit. I will definitely take a visit to Illinois.
"I am going to be very busy this summer," he added. "I will be playing with the Mean Street Express and we start playing in April. I know that we are going to attend some of the big time events this summer. I believe we will be playing in a tournament in Rockford and then the Boo Williams Event. Those are two of our first events."
