Pope down south

Five-star prospect Herb Pope is now a member of an Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville, Fla.) squad that Coach Rex Morgan feels is the best he has ever coached there. He also noted that Pope is down to five schools.
"Herb is in school here," said Morgan. "With his addition and the other quality players we already have this could be our best team ever. We are ten deep and very athletic and quick."

Teaming up with Pope, a 6-foot-8, 233-pound small forward, is power forward A.J. Stewart, the No. 91 ranked player in the Rivals150.
Pope, who has been highly recruited throughout his career, has trimmed his list to Louisville, Maryland, Kansas State, Connecticut and Pittsburgh according to Coach Morgan.
Morgan noted that Pope plans to visit all five schools before the early signing period in November.
Pope is the No. 23 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Herb Pope scouting report:
A terrific open court ball handler, Pope is very adept at threading the needle with his passing. More of a mid-range scorer with limited shooting range, Pope is a bouncy athlete who will only get better around the basket and defensively as he gets stronger.
