Pondexter in midst of three visits

Quincy Pondexter, the No. 50 ranked player in the Rivals150, is coming off a very positive visit to Connecticut. Nonetheless, the Huskies are still in a dead heat with Washington and Memphis. Pondexter, a 6-foot-7, 195-pound small forward from Memorial High School in Fresno, Calif., trips to Washington and Memphis the next two weekends.
"Washington, Connecticut and Memphis are all even at this point," said Pondexter. "I really enjoyed my Connecticut visit, but it didn't move them ahead. I won't have a decision until my other two visits are over."

Pondexter did note that he has a better understanding now of why Connecticut has had such consistent success.
"It's a very nice place, and I can tell why they are so good each year," he said. "I had a good conversation with Coach Calhoun. I had a chance to tour the campus, which was very nice. I also had a good time playing pick up with some of the players."
As well as having a very good July playing with the EBO AAU club, Pondexter averaged 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists per game during his junior season.
Quincy Pondexter scouting report:
Pondexter is a strong competitor who can effectively guard a shooting guard through a power forward and possibly even a point guard. Offensively, he is a promising and developing small forward who will be able to play both forward positions on the high major level if he grows a couple more inches. He can adequately shoot the ball, drive it to the basket, and pass it. With his passion for the game, those skills should only improve with time.
