Polish power forward draws Pac-10 offer

2008 three-star prospect Olek Czyz didn't get a lot of minutes playing behind Luke Babbitt and Craig Brackins on the 17-under Las Vegas Prospects travel squad. Several Pac-10 schools, however, saw enough to pay him a visit at Reno (Nev.) High School this fall.
Oregon State, Arizona State, Washington State and Nevada have all watched Czyz workout, and Washington State offered the 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward originally from Poland.

"Olek has a Euro game and is super athletic," said Coach Anthony Brown of the Las Vegas Prospects. "He can do some P'Allen Stinnett stuff at 6'8."
Last season, Czyz averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds per game for his state championship team.
