Pogue looking at five schools

Once rumored to be a USC commitment, Aaron Pogue is in fact down to five schools with USC being one of those schools. Having already visited Southern California, Pogue, a 6-foot-9, 290-pound post player from Dunbar High School in Dayton, Ohio., has two more official visits scheduled.
"I'm down to Pittsburgh, USC, Dayton, Tennessee and Florida," said Pogue. "I'll visit Pittsburgh on October 6 and then Tennessee two weeks later."

Florida, who is targeting J.J. Hickson and Patrick Patterson as post players, is the only school out of the five not to have offered Pogue.
Pogue has already been on the Dayton campus a number of times, and he also had a spectacular visit to USC.
"Southern California is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen," said Pogue. "But I haven't committed there and neither has O.J. Mayo."
Planning to sign this fall, Pogue admitted he has a favorite but would not divulge who it is. He did, however, comment on what he is looking for in his future school.
"I want to play for a coach who will take care of me on and off the court," he said. "I want a coach who will stay on me to go to class as well as working me out on the court. I want to feel welcomed, and it would be nice to be where my family can watch me play. If I need to go farther away, that's okay. But it would be nice to be close to home."
Aaron Pogue scouting report:
At 6-foot-9, 290-pounds, Pogue is nearly an immoveable object in the paint. This serves him well when banging against big bodies. It's a problem, however, when he needs mobiltiy and explosiveness against quick, athletic opponents. Pogue does have touch on his shot and passes the ball well out of the post. Dropping some weight would enhance his game.
