Pocius Preparing For First Visit

Martynas Pocius, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from The Holderness School in Plymouth, N.J., is scheduled to make his first official visit this weekend. The Lithuanian native had originally planned to take three official visits throughout the next three weeks, but that no longer appears to be the case. As it stands right now, Pocius will likely make a decision after his visits to Kansas and Duke are complete.
“It doesn’t look like Martynas will be taking a visit to Arizona,” The Holderness School head coach Jamie Gallagher said. “I know they received a commitment earlier last week, so I just don’t see the visit to Arizona taking place.

“As of right now, Kansas and Duke are the two schools Martynas will definitely visit. His visit to Kansas will take place this weekend and Duke the following weekend.”
While nothing official has been scheduled, Gallagher indicated that Pocius might take one or two more visits before making a final decision about his future.
“A number of programs have already contacted me tonight about bringing Martynas in for a visit," Gallagher said. "Again, we haven’t made any decisions about any additional visits, but it’s definitely a possibility.
“I just hope that Martynas is ready to make a decision after his visit to Duke. I think he will be ready, but we will know much more after that visit is complete.”
