Plenty of options for Singletary

Mike Singletary, the three-star prospect from Kingwood High School in Humble, Texas, is going to have plenty of options when he is ready to make a decision about his future. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound shooting guard is currently being recruited by handful of high major, elite level college basketball institutions.
"My recruitment is going good so far," said Singletary. "Texas, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Illinois are some of the schools showing an interest in me. Coaches from Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor have been down to watch me play a couple of times this year.

"I have also been down to Arizona for an unofficial visit," he added. "I had a pretty good time during the visit and it will give me the chance to compare that visit to some other visits that I plan to take in the future."
Singletary, the three-star prospect, is going to take his time with the recruiting process. He has already started to think about what schools to officially visit, but has not made any final decisions.
The Texas native also made it perfectly clear that he wants to attend a school that will allow him the opportunity to play right away.
"I have an idea of what schools that I might visit," said Singletary. "I have not setup any visits yet, but Texas, Kentucky and Illinois are some schools that I see myself visiting. I don't want to going to a school and ride the bench my first year.
"I want to go to a school where I can play right away," he added. "Being able to contribute as a freshman is important to me."
