Plenty of options for Abrams

Jamar Abrams, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward from Highland Springs (VA) High School couldn't be happier with where his recruitment stands at this time. A large number of high major basketball institutions are currently interested in Abrams and he has three scholarship offers on the table.
"Things with Jamar and his recruitment are going great right now," said Willie Jackson, father of Jamar Abrams. "He really has a lot of interest in ACC schools, but he also wants to attend a school that is the best situation academically, a school that fits him and a school where he will be able to earn some early playing time.

"Virginia, Virginia Tech, American, Connecticut, South Carolina, Syracuse, Indiana, Illinois, William & Mary are just some of the schools interested in Jamar," he added. "William & Mary, American and Virginia Tech have already offered scholarships. Connecticut told me that they plan to come out and watch Jamar play when they are in town. I can tell you that over 40 schools are interested in Jamar."
Until the time comes for Abrams to make a decision about his future, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward will continue to focus on the basketball season. While his junior campaign got off to somewhat of a rocky start, Abrams is finally getting into a comfortable rhythm on the court.
"The season is going good for Jamar," said Jackson. "The first four games of the season, he played pretty well, but his numbers were down a bit. He didn't feel that he had the green light during the games.
"After the fourth game of the year, the coaching staff talked to Jamar and told him that he did have the green light," he added. "They told Jamar to play his game and he has really turned it on since that time. He's had scoring games of 13, 18, 24 and 27-points in the last four games. Jamar has been playing extremely well lately."
