Pittsnogle Reaches Decision

It came down to distance for forward Kevin Pittsnogle, 6-9, of Martinsburg High School in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
"West Virginia is only about two to two and a half hours away," Pittsnogle told us today. "I really wanted to play in front of my family and friends."

So Pittsnogle, who impressed us down in Orlando with his shooting skills, will play the four spot in a year for West Virginia. This is a very good pickup for the West Virginia basketball program. Pittsnogle is a smart player who uses his frame well along the baseline.
"I am also going to play out to the foul line," Pittsnogle said. "I can hit the jumper and do it from that range."
He sure can. Several of the games we watched this summer Pittsnogle scored 20 plus points. It was a balanced performance too. Pittsnogle was not afraid to take it inside and also showed nice range on his jumper.
"I really considered Clemson too," Pittsnogle said. "But the distance was a problem. I wanted my family to have a chance to watch me play."
Pittsnogle also considered North Carolina State and Pittsburgh.
