Pittsburgh scores with important forward

Dwight Miller is looking for a winter coat. Not because the cold weather is fast approaching but because the Bahamas native now transplanted in Houston is taking his game to the Northeast.
The 6-foot-8 power forward from St. Pius X High School has committed to Pittsburgh, according to his guardian Frank Rutherford.

"It came down to the Big East and (Dwight) decided on Pitt," Rutherford told Rivals.com. "He is very excited about the opportunity that he will have there to play and develop."
Miller visited Pittsburgh and Rutgers and was looking like a spring decision, where he would have certainly been a hotly pursued prospect during the season.
Miller was a standout at the Rbk U camp in July and earned respect for his hard work, high energy, toughness and ability to take a stand on the blocks. His style of play is perfect for the Big East and the physical aspect of Pitt's defensive schemes.
Miller joins Nasir Robinson, Travon Woodall and Ashton Gibbs in the 2007 recruiting class for the Panthers. Miller is expected to sign his National Letter of Intent in the next 72 hours.
Rivals.com will see Miller on Friday at the Texas Hoops Jamboree in Houston. Miller and his St. Pius X (3-1) teammates will square off against the nation's top player Greg Monroe and his Helen Cox (La.) squad on the first day of action of the event.
