Pitt on board in 2011
Thursday night Pittsburgh got on the 2011 recruiting board with the commitment of Philadelphia Girard College High School combo guard John Johnson.
"I think Pitt would be like family away from home, and I like the coaching staff," Johnson texted Rivals.com.
Johnson, who is a relative unknown on the national recruiting radar, chose Pittsburgh over interest from Villanova, St. Joseph's, UCLA, Notre Dame, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.
