Pilgrim Signs LOI

Mike Pilgrim, a 6-7, 210 pound power forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, faxed in his letter of intent on Friday, according to Brewster head coach Jason Smith.
Smith said that Pilgrim also express mailed the actual letter of intent back to Cincinnati for his parents to sign. This also occurred yesterday.

Pilgrim made his decision in favor of Cincinnati because: "Besides being home, they would take care of me as would my family. Cincinnati is already a great program. The other programs were getting there. Coach Huggins is a great coach too."
Pilgrim also stated that Cincinnati gives him the best opportunity to progress at the wing position due to style of play.
Pilgrim previously stated: "Style of play was very important. I love to run. I love to run and play hard. They were the only school to tell me that I was recruited to play the wing. They want me to take Leonard Stokes' place. I will have the opportunity to start as a freshman."
Last season at Purcell Marian, Pilgrim averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. He enjoyed a productive summer for Mike Duncan's Cleveland Basketball Club program. Pilgrim picked Cincinnati over Seton Hall, Virginia, and Boston College.
