Pilgrim Makes Decision

Mike Pilgrim, a 6-7, 210 pound power forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, committed to Cincinnati today at a press conference. Pilgrim also considered Boston College, Seton Hall, and Virginia. Cincinnati and Seton Hall were his top two schools.
After his visit to Cincinnati, Pilgrim stated: "Cincinnati was unbelievable. I mean other than just being home, I felt a sense of belonging in that program. Coach Huggins runs a great program and it has always been a dream of mine to play at the University of Cincinnati.

"Their players really seem to respond to coach Huggins in a real positive way on the
court. Plus they have no one else at my position so it would be a great
opportunity to try to step right in and collect substantial playing time."
Last season at Purcell Marian, Pilgrim averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. He enjoyed a productive summer for Mike Duncan's Cleveland Basketball Club program.
Pilgrim also praised his visit to Seton Hall and said he was very comfortable with the coaching staff in South Orange as well as the players. But the visit to Cincinnati clinched it for Bob Huggins' program.
