Pilgrim has also scheduled a trip to Boston College the weekend of October 5th. "He is going to visit Boston College on October 5th," Smith told us today. "Boston College has offered him a scholarship."
Smith also told us that Pilgrim plans on taking an official visit to Seton Hall for Midnight Madness or the following weekend at the end of October. We will keep you posted on which date Pilgrim settles for with the Pirates. This date is still being worked on. Pilgrim is also considering visits to Ohio State, Purdue, and Connecticut.
Pilgrim, a native of Cincinnati, previously told Rivalshoops that Bowling Green and Arizona had contacted him this summer. Illinois State had also offered a scholarship. The Redbirds joined Ohio State, Seton Hall and Purdue among those programs who have tendered a scholarship offer.
In addition to the schools listed above, Pilgrim was also considering Florida State, DePaul, Cincinnati, St. Joe's, St. Bonaventure and Kent State. Last season at Purcell Marian, Pilgrim averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game.
He enjoyed a productive summer for Mike Duncan's Cleveland Basketball Club program. A wiry, mobile and bouncy power forward, Pilgrim is a glass eater deluxe who plays the game with a great deal of enthusiasm.
