Pickett schedules visit

One of the top spring recruits in the country, Rico Pickett of Miami Dade Community College has scheduled his first of possibly four visits this spring.
With four schools at the top of his list, Manhattan will be the first school to host Pickett when he visits the school this coming weekend. Pickett, a 6-foot-4, 170-pound combo guard, has cited the opportunity to play in New York and his relationship with head coach Barry "Slice" Rohrssen as the main drawing points to Manhattan.

Florida, Florida State and Tennessee are the other three schools at the top of Pickett's list, and they are likely to get visits.
"I'm not going to make a decision until the second week in April, so I have time to take my other three visits," said Pickett.
Pickett also noted that SEC regular season champions LSU has now entered into the recruiting fray on the second level of his list with the likes of Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland and South Florida.
Pickett, who transferred after his freshman year from Alabama, averaged 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists per game as a sophomore at Miami Dade.
