Philly big man has favorite

Philadelphia post player Lavoy Allen caught the attention of at the Real Deal on the Hill in April, just missing out on the pre-summer Rivals150. Allen, 6-foot-9, 225-pounds from Pennsbury High School, has a top five and a favorite going into the July evaluation period.
Allen's top five includes Rutgers, Virginia, St. Joe's, Temple and Villanova. All but Villanova have offered, and Allen has visited St. Joe's, Temple and Rutgers this month.
In fact, Allen visited Rutgers, who is his favorite, this week.
"I like the coaches," said Allen. "They're very friendly. I also had a chance to meet some of the players on my visit, and they seemed cool. I also like the weight room and the facilities and campus in general."
Allen, who averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds per game as a junior, catches and scores around the basket and is a tough rebounder. Presently, he is working to improve a couple other aspects of his game.
"I'm working on running the floor better and being more aggressive," he said. "I'm also working on my face up game."
Allen will attend the adidas Superstar Camp in July.
