Phillips Makes Decision
Mike Phillips, an athletic 6-6, 205 pound power/combo forward from Okaloosa-Walton C.C. in Niceville, Fla., has orally committed to South Alabama.
Rivalshoops.com spoke with O-W Asst. Coach Michael Curry on Thursday, and he confirmed that Phillips is headed to John Pelphrey's Sun Belt Conference program next year.

A product of Leflore H.S. in Mobile, Ala., Phillips averaged 12.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game as a freshman last season for O-W. He shot 60 percent from the field, and was one of the Raiders' most consistent performers a year ago.
This year, without a number of big men who have moved on to the Division I ranks, Phillips will be expected to shoulder the load in the paint.
