One of the more anticipated returns to action last weekend at the Southern Invitational was of Michael Nardi, a slick 6-2, 155 pound combo/point guard from St. Patrick H.S. in Elizabeth, N.J.
Nardi missed almost the entire 2001-2002 basketball season with a foot injury, and even though he came back to appear in the state playoffs for St. Pat's, he has missed some basketball tournaments this spring thanks to his afflictions. But Nardi bounced back and showed what many thought was possible -- he is a solid lead guard with excellent floor vision.

Nardi told Rivalshoops.com that he is considering many colleges, including Seton Hall, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Villanova, N.C. State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Nardi told us he favors the Big East quite a bit and has already paid unofficial visits to Rutgers, Seton Hall and Villanova.
With many events coming up in the next three months, Nardi is hoping to play and cement his position among the elite guards in the Class of 2003. The Southern Invitational was the first step in the right direction.
His tentative schedule looks like this:
*Bob Gibbons Memorial Day Class with the New Jersey Celtics
*Nike All-American Camp
*Super Showcase (N.J. Celtics) or adidas Big Time Tournament (Newark Rams)
