PF Has High D-1 Interest

Gaston Molida, a strong and explosive 6-6, 235 pound power forward from Ryan Academy in Norfolk, Va., enjoyed a solid showing at the recent Peach Jam Basketball Tournament.
Molida was one of the key cogs in the Boo Williams Summer League team that made it to the tournament semis on Tuesday night before bowing out.

According to BWSL Head Coach Boo Williams, Molida has seen interest this summer from programs such as UMass, Richmond, St. Joseph's, Georgetown, West Virginia, James Madison, Old Dominion and Towson.
Molida is a ruggedly built power forward with quick leaping ability that belies his often slow gait traveling up and down the floor. He gets almost all of his damage done around the tin on the offensive glass, and the further he strays away from the basket, the less effective he is.
A native of the Cameroon, Molida averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks per game this past season at Ryan Academy. He said he has a 3.6 GPA but has yet to take the SAT or ACT.
After the Peach Jam, Molida will conclude the summer with BWSL at the AAU Super Showcase and AAU Nationals in Florida.
