Brent Petway, a long and athletic 6-8, 195 pound combination forward from Griffin H.S. in Griffin, Ga., told us he has a couple more offers on the table. "Virginia and Georgia called and they offered," said Petway, who helped his team to an afternoon victory yesterday at the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida.
"Michigan is still my leader," Petway said. "But I want to take some visits in August and then make my decision in September."
Petway said he remains open and won't narrow his list until next month when the AAU circuit concludes for the summer.
Petway has already taken an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor earlier this summer, and came away impressed with the Big 10 program. It's why the Wolverines are number one right now. "Anything can change in the future," Petway said. "So we'll see what happens after I take some more visits."
Georgetown, Florida State, UConn, and Syracuse are also being considered by Petway.
A full academic qualifier, Petway has scored a 940 on the SAT, but he wants to break 1,000 and will take the exam again in October.
