Petway Has Clear Leader

Brent Petway, a long and athletic 6-8, 195 pound combination forward from Griffin H.S. in Griffin, Ga., said that Michigan remains in the lead for his services.
Petway, who spoke to the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com from the Peach Jam Tournament on Tuesday afternoon, took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor earlier this summer, and came away impressed with the Big 10 program.

"Michigan is probably my number one school right now," the Georgia Stars forward said. "They're the only one who has offered and I like Coach Amaker, and I keep in touch with many of the players on their team."
Petway said that Georgetown is running a close second to Michigan, with Florida State, UConn, Syracuse and Georgia also in the hunt.
A full academic qualifier, Petway has scored a 940 on the SAT, but he wants to break 1,000 and will take the exam again in October.
Petway and the Stars will wrap up the summer next week at the AAU Super Showcase and AAU Nationals in Florida, so we'll keep you posted on Petway and many other top players in the Class of 2003. Stay tuned!
