Peoples still open

Jonathan Peoples is looking to turn his recruitment around in his final season at St. Joseph High School in Westchester, Ill. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard is on quite a few watch lists going into the winter but he's hoping he can make his way onto the offer list with the high-major schools.
The three-star guard didn't exactly have the breakout summer he was hoping for, he says, and a "messed up" back didn't help either. Several mid-major programs jumped into the race for his services but he says things are back to square one as the high school draws closer.

"I'm open to anybody at all," he said. "I tried to visit Dayton but they took a commitment from another player. That kind of made me look at things a lot harder."
Now open and recovered from any ailments to his back, People said the coaches are still coming to see him. USC, Marquette and NC State all traveled to the Chicago area to watch Peoples in an open gym in the last three weeks, he said.
"Coach told me during the season, I'll be able to pick my stock back up again and put it back where it was before," People said. "My stock was down after the summer and where it is now is not where it needs to be. Obviously, I'm looking for a great season."
Peoples said he'd like to hear from Georgia Tech but knows the Yellow Jackets snagged Javaris Crittenton. Peoples was on hand when the five-star guard picked the ACC at a press conference at the adidas Superstar camp. Peoples isn't shy to say what conference he'd like to play in.
"I really want to go to the ACC or Big Ten," Peoples said. "To me, those are the two best conferences in the country. That is where all of the good players go to."
