Peoples finds a home

Three-star 2006 prospect Jonathan Peoples is having a successful senior season with (18-1) St. Joseph's High School out of Westchester, Ill. Next year Peoples, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound shooting guard, will take his winning ways to Notre Dame.
"This is a great opportunity for a great kid," said St. Joseph's coach Gene Pingatore. "Jonathan is going to help Notre Dame a lot. They're getting a very talented player. He can do a lot of things on the floor."

Peoples, who is averaging 14.5 points per game this season, is primarily a shooting guard but has the ability to swing to either the point guard or small forward position as well.
"Jonathan should fit in very well at Notre Dame," said Peoples' AAU coach Nick Irvin of the Illinois Fire. "He shoots it well and gets to the basket. Also, he's an excellent defender. If there is anything he needs to improve, it's that he needs to be more aggressive."
Peoples joins point guard Tory Jackson and power forward Luke Harangody.
