Penny a Quick Floor General
Ramone Penny, a quick 6-0, 160 pound point guard from Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, Penn., has attracted some Division I recruiting interest this winter.
A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Penny isn't the prototypical set the table type of point guard. He uses his speed to penetrate and make things happen, and thanks to his athleticism, Penny can finish drives to the rim with a flourish.

Some of the programs that have expressed interest in Penny include Brown, Bucknell, Wisconsin-Green Bay, UNC-Greensboro, St. Mary's (CA), Towson and Siena.
Penny carries a B+ average in the classroom and has scored a 970 on the SAT. He is attending Mercersburg in order to prepare for college both academically and from a physical standpoint.
Prior to attending Mercersburg, Penny played at DeLaSalle H.S. in Minneapolis.
