Penn State adds top-150 guard Rasir Bolton

Rasir Bolton, following the second to last evaluation period of his travel basketball career, decided to end his college recruitment on Sunday by committing to Penn State.

A 6-foot-2 combo guard that can be used in a variety of ways, Bolton is another high-upside addition for the Nittany Lions. After securing the commitment of 6-foot-5 do-it-all wing Myles Dread a year ago, Bolton's commitment gives Pat Chambers' bunch someone that can complete a variety of tasks in the backcourt where he also has the chance to improve incrementally in State College.

Selecting Penn State over offers from others including Pitt, Virginia Tech, VCU and Ole Miss, Bolton has the opportunity to step in and develop into an integral part of the PSU offense in the future. Showing consistent growth as both a playmaker and scorer, Bolton does have to pack on more strength, but his athleticism, feel for the game and versatility in the backcourt remains in tow.

The second commitment in the 2018 class, after raiding eastern Pennsylvania in previous years, Penn State has made their presence felt in the DMV and in the state of Virginia. Bolton will join Dread next year in Happy Valley as each can play multiple spots and also develop into key cogs in head coach Pat Chambers' system.
