Penn picks up third commitment

Ivy League power Pennsylvania has been getting it done on the recruiting front. Center Garvin Hunt of Weston (Fla.) Sagemont High School is the third solid pick up for the Quakers in the class of 2008.
Down to Delaware and Pennsylvania, it was not an easy decision for Hunt according to his high school coach Adam Ross.

"Delaware did an unbelievable job recruiting Garvin," said Ross. "It was a really difficult decision. In the end, however, the academic opportunity that Penn presented was too much to say no to. Coach Martin and Coach Miller did a great job recruiting Garvin for Penn, and he is excited about playing for them."
Originally from the Bahamas, Hunt, 6-foot-9, 225-pounds, is still new to the game and should continue to develop.
"Garvin is doing a good job this fall," said Ross. "He is working hard. He has only had three full years of experience playing basketball, so we are expecting a big year from him this year."
As a junior, Hunt averaged 15 points and ten rebounds per game.
The Quakers also have 2008 commitments from point guard Zack Rosen and wing Rob Belcore.
