Paterick Lines Up Visits

T.J. Paterick, a 6-1, 180 pound point guard from Nease H.S. in St. Augustine, Fla., has set up a trio of official visits over the next several weekends.
Paterick, who played with both the Fox Valley Skillz and the Central Florida Stars this past spring/summer, told Rivalshoops.com that he has planned trips to Holy Cross (Sept. 13-15), Yale (Sept. 20-22) and Bucknell (Sept. 27-29).

In addition to the trio of Northeastern academic heavyweights, Paterick said he is also hoping to visit Utah in early October. East Carolina and Tennessee-Chattanooga round out his list of six colleges.
"It's important to have a good academic school, because after four years, you're done, and the degree is really important," Paterick said. "At the same time, it's fun to play at the highest level, but most of these schools have been good in their conferences in recent years."
"So I am not really leaning toward either right now," Paterick continued. "It's kind of just visiting, seeing what I like and what's a good fit and going from there. It's hard to make a snap call without seeing the campus or meeting the coaching staff."
If he takes his first four trips as planned, Paterick could have one visit left for either ECU or UTC. The in-home visits with those schools could dictate whether or not he visits one of those two Southern schools.
A solid floor general with a good feel for the game, Paterick averaged 16 points, four rebounds, eight assists and three steals per game as a junior last year at Nease. At that school last year, he played alongside current St. Joseph's University freshman Chet Stachitas.
A solid student, Paterick said he has a 3.7 GPA and scored an 1110 on the SAT.
