Parrom makes it official

It has been a long time coming, but on his official visit Kevin Parrom made it official that he would become a Xavier Musketeer. This was Parrom's second visit to Xavier, and this time he saw what he wanted, and decided to pull the trigger and become the first commitment for Xavier in the class of 2009.
With the impending loss of C.J. Anderson and B.J. Raymond, the Xavier Musketeers definitely needed to land the commitment of a small forward, and the man who will fill that role is Parrom.

Parrom called Rivals.com and simply said, "I want you to know I committed to Xavier today."
The 6-foot-6 and 195 pound small forward is rated as the number 84 prospect in the country and a four star recruit. He arrived on Xavier's campus on Friday afternoon, and saw enough to decide that it was the place for him.
Along with Xavier, Parrom had offers from St. John's, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Marquette, and Rutgers. Beyond those schools he also received attention from Connecticut, Miami (FL), and Seton Hall.
This is Xavier's first commitment in the 2009 class, and odds are the Musketeers will add another commitment before it is all said and done. Parrom visited with Chris Braswell, another four star recruit, but there is no word on how Braswell's visit is going.
