Parnell Chooses A School

Back in July, Jeremy Parnell, the powerful 6-foot-9, 240-pound center from Gosnell, Arkansas, verbally committed to Ole Miss. Apparently, the commitment was not solid, as Parnell recently returned from an official visit to another college campus other than the one in Oxford and has changed his tune.
Parnell made a recent official visit to Oklahoma State and decided that he'd rather be a Cowboy than a Rebel. "He went to Stillwater two weeks ago and he liked it," said Gosnell head coach Len Whitehead. "So he changed his mind."

The commitment to OSU, according to Parnell's coach, seems to be solid this time around, but admits there is a possibility of change. "You never know with these kids," said Whitehead. "As far as I know, that's what he wants to do."
If Parnell follows through and signs with the Cowboys in November, he will add depth and interior strength to Eddie Sutton's frontline. He is Oklahoma State's first frontcourt commitment in the Class of 2004 and third commitment overall, joining guards Neiman Owens from the high school ranks and Jamaal Brown from junior college.
With Parnell's decommitment, the Ole Miss Rebels are left with guard Robert Clark and forward Brandon Patterson in their haul from the Class of 2004.
Parnell is rated the 136th best player in the Rivals150.
