Parmer Has a Leader

Jeffrey Parmer, a skilled 6-7, 225 pound power/combo forward from Niagara Falls H.S. in Niagara Falls, N.Y., tabbed West Virginia as his leader this summer.
In fact, Parmer is scheduled to take his first official visit to Morgantown the weekend of Sept. 6-8. The Mountaineers have offered, as well as Providence, Iowa State and Ohio University. Boston College is also in the mix, but Parmer said the Eagles have yet to offer.

"West Virginia is leading right now because they are showing me the most interest," Parmer said. "They told me that I can come in and start and make a big impact because they are trying to rebuild the program."
This past summer, Parmer played with Mickey Walker's Donyell Marshall Foundation program out at the Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas. He suited up for the Rochester Area Players (RAP) at the AAU Nationals in Florida. He kicked off a busy July evaluation period at the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey.
Parmer is a skilled big man who does not wow you with speed or athleticism, but he is a deceptive athlete who demonstrated decent face up skills this past summer. He has a study frame with which to add size, though he lacks muscle tone.
A lefty with a knack for making finesse finishes in close, Parmer also demonstrated that he can finish with either hand around the cup.
Last season at Niagara Falls H.S., Parmer averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per contest. He said he has an 87 average in the classroom but will need to boost his SAT score in order to qualify academically.
Parmer plans on attending the State Fair games in Syracuse next week, and will play with the PAL team at the Can-Am games in mid September.
We will keep you posted on his recruitment in the weeks to come, so stay tuned.
