RandlehasbeendominantinNike'sEliteYouthBasketballLeagueandwasexcellentwiththe18-and-undernationalteam.Harrisonhasbeenequallyimpressivethankstohisvision,sizeandabilitytoruntheshow.
StillParker-whoisinLithuaniacompetingwithUSABasketball'snational17-and-underteam-remainsatopthe2013rankingsbecauseofhisall-aroundskillandversatilityrolledintoa6-foot-8package.
"Heknowsthathehasalotofworkandhehasatargetonhisback,"Parker'sfather,Sonny,told
Rivals.comafterhearingthenewshissonwillretaintheNo.1ranking."But,hesays,'DadIknowtheyarecomingatmesoI'mcomingatthemtoo.'" Askilledwingplayerwhoneverseemstobeinarush,Parkerisalsocapableofplayingasahighpostfour-manwhocanpickdefensesapartwithpassingordrivestothehoop.Duringthespringandearlysummer,though,Parkerhasn'tshottheballquiteaswellasinthepastandit'ssomethinghe'slookingforwardtoaddressingoncehehassomedowntime.
"Hereallywantstogetbackinthestudio,"saidSonny,Parker'sfather."Hehasn'thadachancetoworkoutindividuallylikehewantstobecauseofhistravelschedulewithAAUandcampsandUSABasketball.Hewantstobethebestever."
Atthesametime,Parkerisveryappreciativeoftheplacesthatbasketballistakinghim.HealsotriestostaygroundedandaccordingtohisfatherthetripswithUSABasketballhavegonealongwaytowarddoingso.Itisn'tjustthebasketball,butachancetolearnaboutandappreciateothercultures.
"Itisreallyanhonorandaprivilegetorepresentyourcountryandhereallyenjoysthat,"Parkersaid."Initiallyhehadsomedoubtsaboutitbutthenonceherealizedthathewasrepresentinghiscountryhehasenjoyedhisexperience.
"He'sreallyintodifferentculturesandexperiencingthem.Heappreciateswherehelivescomparedtosomeofthepeoplehe'scomeacrossoutsidethecommercialismandtourismofitall."
Ontheschoolfront,Parkerhassofardeclinedtolisthistopschools.
