Pane taking his time

Brockeith Pane, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound point guard from Carter High School in Dallas, Texas, is looking forward to taking some official visits this fall. The No. 144 ranked player in the class of 2007 has not scheduled any visits yet. However, Pane is looking forward to visiting four schools in particular.
"I don't have any visits scheduled just yet," said Pane. "I believe that I am going to Houston next weekend for an official visit. San Diego State, Oklahoma and Colorado are the other schools that I would like to visit. New Orleans, Colorado and North Texas are the schools that have been to the gym.

"I don't have any leaders right now," he added. "I also have no idea about any in-home visits. What I do know is that I am going to take some official visits before I select a school. I think that my first official visit is going to happen next week.
Aside from the aforementioned programs, Pane, the No. 23 ranked point guard in the class, has scholarship offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas A&M, TCU and others.
Because the three-star prospect has so many options to consider, he has decided to take his time with the recruiting process. Additionally, Pane has spent quite a bit of time in the gym and weight room, preparing for his senior campaign.
"I have actually been in the gym a lot," said Pane. "I have been working on my shot and lifting weights. I am real excited about my senior year and that's what I am thinking most about right now. I am probably going to sign late with a school. That is the plan right now because I don't want to rush this decision."
Brockeith Pane scouting report: "Pane is a physical point guard with strong leadership skills. Defends and rebounds his position well. Very good at getting into the lane and either finishing or distributing. The consistency of his outside jumper has room for improvement."
