Pane has plenty of options

Brockeith Pane, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound point guard from Carter High School in Dallas, Texas, has emerged as one of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2007. The No. 127 ranked player in the class has a handful of offers on the table and a large number of high-major programs involved in his recruitment.
"I believe that I have offers from Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Illinois, Houston and Arizona State," said Pane. "I might have a couple more, but those are the ones that I remember off the top of my head. Schools like Utah, Virginia, Tennessee, Minnesota, and USC are recruiting me real hard.

"I took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M and Oklahoma State," he added. "Both of the visits went alright. "I hung out with the fellas at Oklahoma State and had a fun time. When I went to Texas A&M, they showed me around campus and things like that."
With so many options to consider, Pane, the No. 20 ranked point guard in the class, is in no hurry to make a decision about his future. As a matter of fact, the three-star prospect is planning to take advantage of all five official visits.
"I do want to use all of my visits," said Pane. "Virginia is a school that I am planning to visit for sure, but I don't know about the other four visits. Because I live so close to all of the Texas schools, I can unofficially visit most of them whenever I want.
"Right now, I am just open and am not close to making a decision," he added. "I am looking forward to going to ABCD and Las Vegas. I really hope to have a good showing at those events."
Brockeith Pane Scouting Report: Pane is a physical point guard with strong leadership skills. Defends and rebounds his position well. Very good at getting into the lane and either finishing or distributing. The consistency of his outside jumper has room for improvement. –Jerry Meyer
