Palmer Finds New Home

Anton Palmer, a resourceful 6-6 forward from Butler County C.C. in El Dorado, Kan., was one of the top scoring freshmen at the Jayhawk Shootout in Coffeyville, Kan.
The Chicago, Ill., native averaged 22 points and 6.5 rebounds in two contests, both Grizzly victories.

Palmer spent part of the 2001-2002 school year at Vincennes J.C. in Indiana before opting to transfer. He never suited up for the Blazers, and thus is a freshman at Butler County this year.
A southpaw blessed with a solid frame, Palmer does most of his damage inside of 10 feet. Even though he's not a great athlete, Palmer has a nose for the ball, does a good job of filling the lane in transition and has a reliable shot from short-midrange distances. He also stalks the baseline for high percentage opportunities.
Palmer has put up big numbers early on this year, and he is one of the many JUCO freshmen that Rivalshoops.com will be tracking this winter. So keep it here for the top coverage of junior college basketball on the internet.
