Padgett May Take 2 More Trips

David Padgett, a 6-11, 235-pound power forward/center from Reno High School in Reno, Nevada, has already taken official visits to Stanford and Arizona. "Both of his trips went well," said his dad, Pete, who also coaches him. "He came home very excited after each of these trips. David said he can see himself at either of these schools."
But Mr. Padgett told us that his son plans on visiting Kansas this upcoming weekend. "He's also excited about visiting there too," Mr. Padgett said. "Kansas has always had success like the other schools on his list. It's a great program. David has a nice list of schools to choose from."

Will David Padgett make a decision after his next visit? "I don't know about that," Mr. Padgett said. "That's up to him. He might be interested in visiting North Carolina in the Fall too. So I don't know if a decision will come soon."
Mr. Padgett told us also that California, Louisville, and Oregon are also being considered for an official visit too. "He hasn't made up his mind on the fifth visit," Mr. Padgett said. "But I think he wants to take one to Chapel Hill."
Padgett is one of the best players in the 2003 class and one of the most sought after student/athletes. Padgett previously told us that he isn't looking to grab a starting job as a freshman, but would like to play and have some impact as a first-year player. Padgett finished up his year averaging 23 points and 14 rebounds per game. He will attend the ABCD camp.
