Padgett Makes Calls To Coaches
David Padgett made the calls he had to make over the past 12 hours. And they were some of the toughest calls he has had to make in his young life. Padgett had to tell most of the schools left in his process he wasn't coming to their school. In the end, it was only Kansas that was happy.
As many sites across the net have reported, David Padgett has given a verbal commitment to Kansas and will sign a letter of intent with the Jayhawks next month.

There were some last minute efforts by some programs to convince Padgett to change his mind. According to his father and coach at Reno H.S., Pete Padgett, North Carolina visited David on Sept. 29, while Kansas and Arizona both came in on Monday the 30th.
David's choice is expected to be made public sometime today (Wednesday afternoon, Pacific Standard Time) according to Pete Padgett.
Coming out of the July evaluation period, Mr. Padgett thought they had a pretty good handle on the recruiting situation. However, on Tuesday night, even he admitted that the insatiable thirst for knowledge into his son's decision has been overwhelming at times.
So with an end to this recruiting battle will come a return to normalcy for the Padgett clan.
