LAS VEGAS – The name Josh Christopher is about to be spoken frequently in the coming years and not just by the media. A physically gifted and talented scoring guard that can really shoot the basketball, the 2020 guard has already seen his recruitment hit the grandest of levels.

The younger brother of former California star wing Patrick Christopher, Josh, playing with the 17-under California Supreme team this past week in Las Vegas, showed the confidence and toughness to compete against the best.

“This past EYBL summer and spring, things have been great for me. I picked up seven offers and I had the perfect opportunity to do what I did in making a big name for myself,” he said.

Christopher has offers from Cal, UCSB, UNLV, Florida State, USC, Arizona and UCLA. He visited USC last month and is planning a visit to Arizona for the Red-Blue game.

Holding offers from some of the very best programs on the west coast before entering his sophomore year, California is a school that has pre-existing ties to the talented guard.

“I have a great connection with the school,” he said. “It is just an honor to maybe step on the same floor that my brother played on and represent him on the court.”

Christopher boasts everything that a high-major college program is looking for in a scoring guard. He is someone that can score the ball in heavy amounts from the three-point arc, is a quality athlete at the basket and is more than willing to compete against the very best.

California will likely use the program’s past connection with him in attempting to nail down his commitment, though UCLA, USC, and Arizona, along with several others from outside of the region, are expected to jump into the mix before things come to an end.
