Pac-10 for Westbrook
2006 three-star guard Russell Westbrook from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, Calif., had a mix of mid and high-major schools trying to get his signature during the late signing period. It looks like a top Pac-10 school will get Westbrook's signature.
"Russell verballed last night and will sign tomorrow with UCLA," said Leuzinger head coach Reggie Morris. "He had a lot of good schools to chose from, but he really liked the opportunity to play at the highest level."

Russell, 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, averaged 26 points and 9 rebounds per game for his 25-3 team this past season.
"Russell is a prolific scorer and knows many ways to score," said Morris. "he has a great mid-range game off the dribble.
"Defensively, he's terrific and causes a lot of problems with his long arms. He brings a lot of intangibles to the court and is a very competitive kid."
