* Hofstra-signee Quincy Doundy broke his own record at Grady when he scored 64 points in the 120-41 victory over Lafayette Wednesday night. That same evening, in news unrelated to this tournament, super soph Sebastian Telfair hit 52 points in his Lincoln H.S. team's 108-58 victory over Fort Hamilton. Senior power forward Michael Blackshear, who signed with Temple this fall, injured himself last night after his Simon Gratz's 60-48 loss to John Bartram. The talented undersized inside powerhouse severed a tendon in his right wrist when he ".... punched through the windowpane of the classroom door where Gratz meets on game days."
