OSU Cincinnati Will Have To Wait

The Ohio State and Cincinnati basketball programs will have to wait a little bit longer before Matt Terwilliger, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward/center from Troy High School in Troy, Ohio, makes a decision. A source close to Terwilliger tells RivalsHoops.com Saturday afternoon that the big man is having a difficult time in making his final decision between the Buckeyes and Bearcats.
It was only a couple of days ago that the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame withdrew its scholarship offer and dropped out of the then three-school race. This seemed to make the picture more clear for Terwilliger, who has already taken visits to Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and Ohio State.

Cincinnati has a factor in its favor in Jamar Butler, the top 100 guard in the 2004 class. Butler has already given a verbal commitment to Cincinnati and plans on signing a letter of intent with the Bearcats in November. Butler and Terwilliger are good friends.
In the past week, Terwilliger has gone back to Ohio State and Cincinnati to take a another look at the campuses and also take some more time to speak to the coaching staffs. Now a source close to Terwilliger said if a decision is going to be made in the next week, it will have to be done while Matt is on vacation with his family.
Terwilliger is ranked the 92nd best player in the 2004 class by RivalsHoops.com in the latest list.
