Oregon lands junior college power forward
After a one year in the Pac-10, Oregon coach Dana Altman and his staff realized that they needed to upgrade their interior athleticism. Tuesday, they added some help by landing junior college prospect
Carlos Emory.
A 6-foot-6 and 225 pound power forward from Howard College in Big Spring, Texas, Emory is among the premier athletes in the junior college ranks.
While he is a bit undersized in the post, Emory is a long armed and bouncy competitor in the lane. He tries to dunk everything, rebounds and can run the floor.
A native of the Minneapolis area, Emory joins a recruiting class that already includes five-star shooting guard
Jabari Brown and three-star prospects
Brett Kingma,
Bruce Barron and
Austin Kuemper.
