Oral Roberts lands Kansas City point guard

Kansas City has been really good to Oral Roberts over the past few years. ORU's best player -- junior wing Dominique Morrison -- hails from Kansas City as does starting point guard Roderick Pearson. Forward Michael Craion, another KC native, is sitting out with an injury after a big junior year. Tuesday night, ORU dipped into the Kansas City well again by adding D.J. Jackson.
A six-foot tall senior point guard at Kansas City (Mo.) O'Hara, Jackson committed to Oral Roberts on Tuesday night.

"I like the program and the style of play," Jackson told Rivals.com. "The schedule they play equals a perfect fit."
Very quick, with a solid build, Jackson has been putting up huge numbers during his senior season. The fact that several Kansas City kids have found success down there wasn't lost on him.
"Very important," Jackson said of how much the KC kids at Oral Roberts impacted his decision. "But more important that they had success playing there."
An attacking guard who plays with intensity on both ends of the floor, Jackson is at his best attacking and making plays off the dribble between the rim and 15 feet. He's also a high level on the ball defender.
Jackson will visit Oral Roberts' Tulsa campus for the first time this weekend.
