One visit under Bouldins belt

The No. 53 ranked player in the class of 2006 Matt Bouldin would have liked to have taken more official visits this spring but was only able to squeeze in one visit. The 6-foot-5, 199-pound combo guard from ThunderRidge High School in Denver, Colo., will wait until the fall before he takes the rest of his visits and makes a decision.
"I took one visit to California about two weeks ago," said Bouldin. "It went well. I've never been on an official visit before, and it was good to see what it was like. Now I have something to compare my other visits to."

A number of schools are recruiting Bouldin, but he said it not always clear just how interested some schools are in him. He did list some schools where there is strong mutual interest.
"I'll probably visit Gonzaga, and I've been talking to Notre Dame," he said. "I might visit Texas, maybe Boston College, maybe North Carolina State. Illinois has also been calling."
Bouldin, who runs with the Colorado Select AAU club, is slated for the adidas Superstar Camp in early July and will then finish the month of July at events in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In June Bouldin will primarily play with his high school team on the weekends.
Although Bouldin would prefer to be a little further along in the recruiting process, he does not feel rushed to make a decision.
"Honestly, I'm pretty happy with who is recruiting me," he said. "I'm excited about playing this summer, and then I'll make a decision."
Matt Bouldin scouting report
Bouldin has tremendous size and strength for a point guard. A very good rebounder for his position, he can find the open man early in the open court and also has the ability to get into the lane off a near perfect hesitation move. Also shoots the ball well from the arc. Defensively he will struggle against a quick point guard that also has shooting range.
