One More Visit For Pruitt

The recruitment of Shaun Pruitt is slowly coming to an end. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward has decided that he’ll take one more visit before making a final decision about his future. Pruitt has unofficially visit Indiana and Michigan State, his two finalists, but it looks like MSU will receive one more visit from the Illinois big man. “I’m taking one more visit to Michigan State pretty soon,” Pruitt said. “The coaching staff is still working on the date, so I don’t know for certain when that visit will take place. I spoke with Coach Izzo today and they want to make sure that all of the players are back in school when I come.

“I really like Coach Izzo and the entire Michigan State staff,” he added. “I just hope I can get the visit done as soon as possible. I’m not trying to rush my recruitment, but I just want it over.”
When it comes to Pruitt and his recruitment, other teams have been mentioned, but it is clear that this is an Illinois and Michigan State battle. Pruitt took an unofficial visit to Illinois last week and spoke very highly about the entire program.
“I really enjoyed my visit to Illinois,” he said. “They’re a program that’s on the rise and they are definitely headed in the right direction. This is such a hard decision for me because Illinois is my home school, but Michigan State is a great program as well.
“I’ll have a decision once I return from my visit to Michigan State,” he added. “It will be a very tough decision because both schools are great.”
Rivals.com ranks Pruitt No. 76 on the Rivals150 list and the 19th best power forward in the class of 2004.
