Oliver has visit on horizon

Coming off a strong summer playing for the Playaz 16-under squad, 2009 four-star prospect Brian Oliver has had a number of schools watch him workout at New Castle (Del.) William Penn High School. Oliver, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound small forward plans to return a visit to one of those schools.
"I'm headed to West Virginia on the 20th to be at their homecoming," said Oliver. "As for now that's all I have set up, but a lot of schools have been in to see me. West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Miami and Georgetown have all been up here and are recruiting me the hardest."

West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Xavier, Virginia Tech and Miami have all offered Oliver, who is working diligently to round out his game. With nice size for his position, Oliver is a sharp shooter off both the catch and the dribble.
"I'm working mainly on my ball handling and footwork," he said. "I also am trying to get a little more athletic. I definitely want to be able to come in and get lots of minutes right away. Playing time is something that will catch my eye. Location isn't a big factor, but I don't want to be too far from home or too close to home either."
Oliver, who averaged 16.5 points, seven rebounds and three blocks per game last season, is the No. 76 ranked prospect in the class of 2009.
