Ole Miss lands three-star guard

Ole Miss is on the board in the class of 2018 after nabbing three-star guard Serrel Smith.

A high scoring guard out of Florida -- who made waves with the Showtime Ballers -- Smith saw all he needed to see during a visit to Oxford last weekend. On Thursday, sources close to his recruitment confirmed to Rivals.com that he committed to the Rebels.

At Ole Miss, Andy Kennedy has made a living off of guards who are unafraid to let it fly and who can create their own offense via the dribble. Smith is exactly this type of guard.

Long and athletic, he's got a quick first step, knows how to get himself open via the dribble and has the confidence in himself to believe that every shot is going in. He is lacking strength right now and does need to work some on his shot selection. But, he's got lots of upside and fits the mold of guys who have been successful under Kennedy.

With Smith in the fold, the Rebels will look to sign at least three and maybe four more players.
