Older Alexander Attracting Interest

Although his younger brother DeAngelo signed early with Oklahoma, 6-2 combo guard Steve Alexander of Seward County C.C. in Liberal, Kan., has yet to see the same love from Division I programs.
Alexander plays with a deliberate style, so he does not appear to be overly quick. However, he is blessed with a solid, athletic build, is a strong slasher/finisher and rebounds very well for a guard.

After attracting a wide degree of interest this past summer at Jerry Mullen's JUCO Camp in Tulsa, Okla., Alexander's recruitment has slowed a bit in recent months according to Seward Asst. Coach Swede Trenkle.
As a result, Alexander is wide open and interested to hear from new schools this winter.
A native of Midwest City, Okla., Alexander averaged 2.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game for Seward last season in a limited capacity. He played in a reserve role for the Saints, who featured several sophomore guards last winter.
Alexander's recruitment should pick up in the coming weeks, and JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on any new developments.
