Oklahoma State ropes in NYC power forward

It wasn't that long ago that Kamari Murphy made his way to Stillwater for a visit to Oklahoma State. Tuesday, Murphy decided that he would be back to play his college hoops.
A 6-foot-8 native of Brooklyn who will do a prep year at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG, Murphy confirmed that he's picked Travis Ford's program for a variety of reasons.

"The coaches, facilities, academic fields," Murphy told Rivals.com when asked what he liked about Oklahoma State. "I like the playing time the system and the conference."
Long and lean, Murphy is an athletic four who has really developed his skill game over the last year. During the summer at Reebok's Breakout Challenge, the New Yorker showed a much improved skill set and the ability to face up to go along with his length and athletic ability.
The three-star prospect joins Kentucky shooting guard Adam Wing in the Cowboys 2012 recruiting class and is looking forward to fitting in.
"The current players are cool," said Murphy. The town loves OSU and I feel I can best showcase my talents there."
