Oklahoma lands another four-star guard

Last weekend, Lon Kruger and his Oklahoma staff snagged a four-star guard from the state that borders them to the north. Sunday, they paired Kansas product Buddy Hield with a top 100 guard from the state along their southern border.
At the end of his official visit to Norman, 6-foot-4 shooting guard Jelon Hornbeak decided to commit.

The news was confirmed by the four-star guard's coach at Arlington (Texas) Grace Prep, Ray Forsett.
"Oklahoma is getting a tough kid that can really play," Forsett told Rivals.com. "He is a big time combo guard.
"He can guard anyone in the country and make plays with the best of them."
While Forsett lauds Hornbeak's defensive potential and playmaking ability, the fluid guard is also a fine scorer. He's a crisp jump shooter to 20 feet, can get to the bucket and has developed a nice in-between game.
Currently ranked No. 89 in the 2012 RIvals150, Hornbeak joins Hield who ranks No. 94 to make the Sooners early recruiting class.
