Oklahoma Guard Undervalued

Three star prospect Thomas Lane can put the ball in the basket and is probably being under recruited at this point. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound shooting guard out of Cassidy High School in Oklahoma City, Okla., had some strong performances this summer and has a top five list with a leader in the PAC-10.
"My favorites are Washington State, Charlotte, Army, Creighton, and Middle Tennessee State,” said Lane. “I have offers from Charlotte and Middle Tennessee State. I’d say that Washington State is my leader right now, but only slightly. I want to take all five of my visits and learn more about each school.

Academics and early playing time are critical factors in Lane’s decision making process.
"The college I attend must have strong academics,” he said. “I also want to go somewhere I’ll have a chance to play early.”
At this point, Lane has one visit scheduled and is working on setting up dates for his other top schools.
"Ill be visiting Charlotte on September 3,” he said. “I will take the rest of my visits, but I don’t have any dates set as of yet. I’ll probably visit my top five schools unless something changes."
Lane’s AAU coach Noel Wilmore of the Oklahoma Aces has tremendous praise for Lane and feels he is undervalued by most college coaches.
"Thomas is a big time player,” said Coach Wilmore, who played on a Kansas national championship team. “He can play any where in the country. He can shoot the ball and go to the basket equally effective. I think a lot of college coaches are missing the boat when it comes to Thomas Lane."
Always working to improve his game, Lane is focused on sharpening his shooting guard skills.
“I’m working on my ball handling and shooting,” he said. I’m trying to extend my range and become more consistent."
Lane was the leading scoring at the adidas National Championship in Atlanta and was in the top 20 scorers at the Big Time in Las Vegas.
